Description
Canada Geese are plentiful in North America and parts of Europe. What is interesting about them is that they are monogamous and mate for life. They lay between three to eight eggs and surprisingly both the female and male will sit on and watch the babies while they incubate. They are herbivores but have been known to eat insects and fish. Sometimes they seem to be everywhere in the spring, summer and fall but overall they are a proud bird that will defend its young and its territory. In this photo, it is amazing how it can crank its neck so as to twist it so far back into their wings.
