As a little girl growing up in a Polish immigrant family, we would go mushroom picking in the Canadian forests. I do not know what kind of mushrooms these are in the photograph that I took as I was hiking in the woods of British Columbia. There are a lot of very good medicinal mushrooms like Reishi, Shitake, Cordyceps, and Maitake to name but a few.

She has studied photography and art from places like Champlain College in Montreal to Algonquin College in Ottawa to the Art Gallery School in Winnipeg.
