My husband, son and I have taken many hikes around Canada. Amazingly, some of the most beautiful places have been in unlikely places like swamps around Ottawa and Edmonton. This photograph was taken in Elk Island National Park near Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on the Living Waters Boardwalk on Astotin Lake.
I love the way the reeds come up and there are incredible flowers or thorny-type of plant life that grown out of the swampy green-covered waters.

She has studied photography and art from places like Champlain College in Montreal to Algonquin College in Ottawa to the Art Gallery School in Winnipeg.
