Product Details

Our wooden holiday ornaments are 1/2" thick, approximately 4" tall, and include a string for easy hanging and a magnet on the back for use on refrigerators.   Ornaments are available in six different shapes, including: stars, hearts, bells, trees, ovals, and stockings.

Artist's Description

This is a close-up photograph I took of a root growing by the water's edge. The amazing thing about it is that it is either surrounded by rocks or water and somehow it has reached into the ground and continues to grow. It is determined and ambitious. It chooses to live. I like growth and determination.

Mary Mikawoz

Mary Mikawoz is a Canadian of Polish descent who follows in the footsteps of a number of artists and photographers in the family. She has studied photography and art from places like Champlain College in Montreal to Algonquin College in Ottawa to the Art Gallery School in Winnipeg. Mary graduated from the University of Manitoba and Red River College. When it comes to photography, Mary feels as if she is inspired by God or the Universe. It is as if she is meant to "capture this moment in time." Otherwise, she takes images that have nice compositions or from points of view that other people might not normally look at.
