I took this beautiful evening photograph just as the sun was setting and the moon was rising over the water. The Hunter's Moon is magnificent leaving a trail of its light on the waves of the water. Twinkling in the water are coloured rivulets of pink reflections just past the branches.
It brings me much joy to see the moon rising beyond the horizon each time I see it.
With my art, I am often in a zen-type of mood and with my photography, I feel as if I am inspired by God or the Universe to capture these moments in time.

Mary Mikawoz is a Canadian of Polish descent who follows in the footsteps of a number of artists and photographers in the family. She has studied photography and art from places like Champlain College in Montreal to Algonquin College in Ottawa to the Art Gallery School in Winnipeg. Mary graduated from the University of Manitoba and Red River College. When it comes to photography, Mary feels as if she is inspired by God or the Universe.
