This is typical of wetlands in the northern hemisphere. The cattails grow along the water’s edge. The bent cattail just happened to be there and so serves as a focal point. Apparently, the typha seeds are embedded in down parachutes which if you think of it is really interesting.

Mary Mikawoz is a Canadian of Polish descent who follows in the footsteps of a number of artists and photographers in the family. She has studied photography and art from places like Champlain College in Montreal to Algonquin College in Ottawa to the Art Gallery School in Winnipeg.
