I took this photo of the bison (Canadian) or buffalo (American) because he was rubbing his head against a huge rock. (Actually, it is called a "bison rubbing rock," and is used to scratch or remove parts of their coats.) I had to be very careful not to get too close to him as he watching me closely. I liked this image in particular, because a little bird felt comfortable enough to perch right next to him on the big rock and yet I was too scared to get too close. Ironic, isn't it?
